About Geekypatty
I always said I knew just enough about technology to do my job. And then I retired.
Patricia Foote, assistant managing editor/administration, lost the longsuffering and splendid services of The Seattle Times I.T. Department. Pat Foote, a k a “Mom,” had only spotty access to the expertise of her technologically superior children, Will and Jenna Henderson. Asking my husband, Mike (more longsuffering than The Times I.T. staff but about my techno speed), is …. not productive.
Hence, Geekypatty. I’m going to learn this stuff — blogs, phones, photos, video, audio — myself.
Patty Goes Geeky chronicles my learn-by-doing trials and, I can tell already, errors. Normally, I’d be embarassed at confessing such profound ignorance in this day and age. But I figure the only people who will ever read this blog already know how much I don’t know about technology (and other topics too numerous to mention).
And besides, long ago I was challenged to dare more often to have a beginner’s mind. What better time to dare?
Hey there.
You know the word ‘geeky’, so you’ve not completely been living under a rock internet-culture wise, which is more than I can say for people like my mother. Kudos for trying to learn, though.
